@Sean... Didn't mean offence :) Some of my favourite people are American's; Maya Angelou, Jimi Hendrix, Bill Bryson, Dan Cederholm(!!).... But yeh America is kind of known for its bombs as well. That is a B-52 after all.
Yes, unfortunately America is well known for bombing other countries (all for a good cause, of course) and i gotta say that exact same concept crossed my mind yesterday, but i thought it`s too much.
I'm American and I think we blow up poor countries or exploit our power. We should address real issues, instead... I quote "Dropping bombs on baghdad." - Outkast :P
I am American and I am not at all offended by this. The most fundamental liberty is freedom of speech (expression) so you have no reason to apologize for expressing your impression of America through design.
I think this is aesthetically pleasing design and a provocative concept. You created a beautiful logo with a powerful message. One might agree or disagree with the message but it is undeniably good design. Nice job.
I would be surprised if anyone didn't make a connection with the US when seeing this. Especially Americans should know what they are doing. I still love the US, but you need more Ron Pauls!

oooohh...slightly more controversial take.
Apologies in advance if this isn't in the spirit of the playoff.

Is this what you think of when you think of America? Really?

Thanks for the comment Srdjan! I think 'good cause' is probably debatable. Not sure that 'Operation Menu' would count as a good cause.
Might have opened a can of worms here.

@Srdjan - Really? Is that a joke, or do you actually believe that America blowing the shit out of poor brown nations is "for a good cause"?

Was thinking the exact same thing Emir.

@Sean - It's how everyone who isn't an American views America.
(Note: Not you citizens individually, but your government.)
@Srdjan - Alright, your sarcasm was lost on me, sorry about that ;)

If it makes sense to Americans, I'm sure it makes greater sense to everyone else. Good one.

America's major material export, indeed.
I prefer America's non-material exports: sci-fi, 60-s music, movies, computer technologies.
