Sssweeeet, I love it! Is the black text hand-made?
I'm thinkin' the offset is classy, but what if the offset wasn't so far? Though I do see that you lined up the white on the left with the previous letter on the right.
@Jeiji - Redrawn based on an old type specimen > took a few liberties with it.
Still playing around with the offset... I do have some specific production issues to keep in mind, so those are also playing a role in the decision making process.
Adapted from an untitled 1946 type specimen drawn by M. Moullet in 1944.
I liked this type a lot, but ultimately decided I liked the script option better for the final poster.
In any case, I ended up constructing a majority of the character set while I was considering it, and I'm thinking about meshing out the rest of it (punctuation, etc.) along with a couple different style options for the future…
Can't exactly tell you how quickly this might happen (I have a number of other items on the todo list…) but I thought you guys might be interested.

What Nick said. The offset adds so much depth more so than a texture or shadows. Good job.

Gorgeous! Makes me fall in love even more with my two great obsessions: lettering & coffee. Also, I dig the yellow.
