Re: The Religious Freedom Restoration Act: “These laws are modeled on that and a lot of the concerns of discrimination haven’t been borne to bear over the last 20 years. But I also think it’s important that we have a sense of perspective about our priorities. In Iran they hang you for the crime of being gay… We should focus on the most important priorities that our country faces right now.”

• Supports DOMA and traditional marriage.
• Voted NO on reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act.
• Opposes same-sex marriage.
• Protect anti-same-sex marriage opinions as free speech.

I took the opportunity inktober presented to also begin learning more about our queer history in the United States, celebrating known and unknown heroes, and pointing out people who have opposed queer liberation one way or another. I plan to continue the series.
