    Early stages of some picture frame designs to showcase a photographers work, this is the thumbnail view of the work - light box for enlarged versions.

    Underneath is supposed to be a shadow, but currently looks like a reflection, which I don't want.

    Anyone got any tips for getting more depth on them, make the shadows look more realistic?

    The pictures are just placeholders and I don't own the right to them.

    Like you said thought they were reflections, I still like it though.

    If you're going for shadow look I feel it shouldn't be as long and straight edged like it is now. I think it should be a little more round/oval shaped and break the plane/sides of the frame.

    Here is a quick example: (left one, more like it's on a wall - right one, more like it's standing up on a flat surface)

    Hope those quick shadows help a little or gives you an idea that will help you... Good luck.
