I've been incredibly frustrated with a theme project we are working on, so I decided to take a few steps back and start working on a logo for it. I need to continue cleaning up the vector points and making some additional customizations to Helvetica, but I am kind of digging the direction.
I like the style, but not digging the "at" part of it. Maybe try keeping the bottom of the a consistent with the other letters? I see that even the 1st a in Back has a slight curve to it. Just cut it straight down and avoid the different contours of the "ac" and "at" part of it.
Thanks for the comments. I see what you are saying. I think I was looking to have the "ac" and "at" letterforms flow around one another, but I think it doesn't work. The more I look at the bottom curvature, on the second a's stem, it starts to look misplaced.
I spent some more time fine tuning the letterforms, baseline and vector points. I think this is much better but will probably come back and tweak the "t" a bit more.
