Some progress on the Tumblr theme. Background flowery pattern doesn't feel 100% yet - and need to work on the colour as well. Christo helped out with the pattern.
How do you feel about Mono-spaced fonts for body copy?
Lovely! Not sure about mono-spaced font for body but nav feels right.
You go girl! This looks really sweet.
Mono-spaced fonts: I think they work great and you should use them!
Background pattern: My suggestion is to try adding a subtle grain texture that would make the rest of the solid elements (logo, flowers, content) stand out more.
I hope that helps. Feel free to give it a try and see how it looks, it will only take a couple of minutes :)
Hi Regina, This coming along nicely. I'm not a fan of mono-spaced type for body copy, and since this will be a theme that might be something that would turn people away.
Also, the zig-zag line underneath the headline feels a bit harsh to me. Maybe a different color, or a wave instead?
Just one opinion of course. :)
Thanks Inka, Marko and Claudiu.
I think the mono spaced font I used here is actually very legible and fit with the design, but would love your thoughts on it.
Tried the subtle grain quickly and I think it might just add what I feel it's lacking - thanks Claudiu.
Hi Tom - I'll take your comments under consideration - thank you for the feedback.
You're welcome Regina, I'm glad I could help. Keep up the awesome work!
The designery bits look great Regina!lace edge and patterns are very cool, nice modern/vintage mix. agree that the mono type doesn't really work, sure you'll come up with something nice tho!
Love the cross stitch feel of this. Aces.
Looks absolutely fantastic. I am also not sure about mono-spaced typeface here.
lovely layout, love the colors and the pattern. monospace type - nope, the layout looks too fresh for that old font:p
I'm in love with everything you create. Great work!
Going to say no on the monospaced type. You can find something that fits much better. Not sure what it is, but there's something.
Thanks for the feedback guys. Looks like it's a "NO" on the monospaced font. Back to work then :)
Great work Regina. Agree with the others in the monospace font.
Nice!! you have very good taste!
so sweet Regina, i'm in love with it (:
Looks great, keep that monospace!
You could always incorporate the feature that people can choose between 2 or 3 fonts for their body copy.
In that case people who like monospace can keep it and the ones who don't will use a different font.
The color scheme is awesome, love the look and feel of it!
Ye, was thinking about that - thanks Jeroen.
Stick with the monospace font for the default!
By the way, with the way that we engineer all the themes everyone had full control to change up the fonts to their liking with built in Typekit support.
I'm sticking with the monospaced font!!!! :D
