Most of the Haiti earthquake graphics were being dealt with by our daily graphics team, but considering the scale of this natural disaster, our projects team put together an interactive timeline featuring photos, video and audio following the event. This went from inception to deployment in under 8 hours, in part thanks to the End of decade interactive, but the time navigation, among other things, had to be recoded for any time range (days, weeks, months) instead of just years.

Also, the entire piece can be navigated via the keyboard: ←/→, j/k to move between elements, spacebar to play/pause audio or video.
