My dad passed away on Thursday after a hard-fought battle with colon cancer. My sister and I were there with him to support him as he passed. I think my artistic side came from him. I feel like if he hadn’t been forced into a trade by his father, that he would’ve been in a creative field. I’m designing the memorial card for him. I took this photo down at our family pond yesterday. It was his favorite place to be.

Wow, it looks like a beautiful place. I'm certain I'll have a pond of my own like that one day. The shot seems perfectly fitting, both because this was his favorite place, and also because the image is so serene.
I'm really sorry to hear about your father's passing. How are you guys holding up?
