OpenEmu Text Logo Test

Playing around with something here. One of the many little things I have on a running ToDo list that needs to be completed in my spare time. That is a text logo to use for OpenEmu. (for the website and other material).

Not entirely sure, I will know better once I apply it for real. As a one off Dribbble shot I thought it was kinda neat.

I'm trying to throw as much retro influences at everything I am doing. Not so much it turns into some awful kitsch homage to an older era. Trying to be careful with that.

Here, I modified the Motter Tektura font (which Apple used in the early days) so it takes some old retro influences from the computers the app runs on. I added a more modern font in Gotham Book for the strap line to balance it out.

So...we'll see.
