I'm <del>either</del> going to call him <del>Guido (a playful jab at Nintendo's Italian stereotyping) or</del> Gaido (the Romanized form of the Japanese loanword "guide").
For what it’s worth, ‘Gaido’ feels more ‘bunny’ to me. When I picture a rodent named ‘Guido’, the first thing I think of is a dormouse (or perhaps a maître d’).
