I was so excited to get asked to do a cover of Africa for Canadian Lawyer Magazine. It was all about Africa's industry including Zambia's copper mining where my Dad worked when I was a kid. So that made me smile along with the fact that I got to draw tiny giraffes! Blog post here: http://jacquioakley.com/process-business-in-africa

Awesome. I always loved those maps that have little illustrations of local industry or animals, historic events etc. This one looks great!

Thanks all! Andrew, glad you like that too. When I was a kid I used to love searching through those types of images in non-fiction books. So happy that look comes across.

Superb illustration and a worthy article for it! One thing though - any piece on 'Business in Africa' should include a cameo of Luke Ritchie. A young man on a path to great success, although ever since he trimmed his Afro, he's lost some local credibility in my eyes. ;-)

Such nice comments. Thanks guys. Simon, I'm sure if you look hard enough Luke is in there somewhere. Ha! If I could grow an afro I would never trim it. What was he thinking?

@Simon Ahahaha..Too kind dude, and you'll be glad to know the afro did make another appearance..but i had to 'trim' it again. i"ll be back" - said the afro. p.s I don't really have Afro type hair ( I wish )..it just gets poofy when its long and I haven't washed it in a while.
