@Philip Renich: I think so. It's what you're seeing here for the posting page along with what I posted to the blog (for the home page). Not much more than that, at least for now.
Similar to what we show employers when posting a listing, I'm considering adding tooltip-style text to the home page to help job seekers understand how we use the terms on the site (as it's clear each of these terms might be defined differently by everyone).
Update: Great feedback. We're going with solid over transparent. Here's a screen capture showing things so far: (thanks be to Ben Bodien for the interaction & markup niceties)
It's being handled with CSS3 border-image, so the answer is "both". An inset box-shadow would be ideal, but it's been dropped from the spec, and current support for the inset attribute is extremely limited.

Something about these colors is very soothing. Excellent! Looking forward to seeing this on the AJ site!

Which highlight? The "Selected" pill or the overall opacity?

I'm going to guess Antonio means the inner light bevel on the top and right sides.
Looks good Cameron. Were you able to decide on a suitable way to solve the Full-time/Contract dilemma?
