Kelly Sue DeConnick Poster - Facebook Design Lecture Series

I had a lot of fun with this poster for Kelly Sue DeConnick's upcoming visit at Facebook. I drew from ads in the back pages of old comics for inspiration. I printed a handful for myself and for Kelly on a heavy chipboard stock and am pretty happy with how it turned out. I did the rest on a variety of colors that look like faded comic pages. I can't wait to hear Kelly talk about her experiences writing for male dominated publishers like Marvel and DC, and her own feminist dystopian comic, Bitch Planet, where non-compliant women are banished to an off-planet prison.
