    Although what's the white stuff supposed to represent? (in terms of skeuomorphism) Metal? Porcelain? Bone???

    It's basically a really bright concrete, so mainly washed out with a few grungy details here and there.

    @Thomas It doesn't have the concrete-ey feel though. It looks a bit like polished stone or dull metal to me. Though, the deep shadows and the feel looks amazing.

    Yeah I had to brighten it a lot, but I guess the texture realism isn't overly important when considering the design for function as a defined iOS icon on the home screen. It works well as that :)
