Result of a quick after-midnight play with this logo. Not sure if I like this solution much better though. You have all the pieces, it's just a matter of putting them together in the right order. If I were you, I'd work on finding a logo that works without any texture or colour—it should be able to stand on it's own without any decoration.
Yeah, I kinda see where you're going with this - but I'm not sure it's actually any different to what I've already done - I do like the keyline around the banner though!
I was thinking that she could have a custom rubber stamp made, so your point about it working in b&w is very valid.
I noticed you'd used the heard rather than the crossed bush & pencil - any particular reason for this?
