I would go with the right hand side version. Works better centrally aligned. Nice iconography in the background and I also like the 'sort of sunrise' radial gradient overlay. Appropriate colour scheme. All in all v nice! :)
I think #1 is almost spot on, but I'd play a bit more with the tail on the "y". Maybe make it go up instead of down or mimic a smile or something that makes it a bit more optimistic. Love the background pattern!
I like both versions but the typeface used in number two doesn't match the word 'happy' at all. It's almost like it should say 'Serious Monday'. I feel happier looking at number one so it gets my vote!
Wondering whether to make an illustration less London centric, as Owen said, and instead illustrate lots of tea, coffee and biscuits - or is that just me who has lots of those on a Monday morning?

Prefer number 2.. however think number 1 would suit your personality better..

#1 - with the addition of a smily face somewhere?

I prefer #1, but I'm not convinced about the blur effect on 'monday'

As on twitter, I prefer number 2, seems more solid, but number 1 would suit the 'happy' aspect of the title.
As a suggestion though, number 1 seems quite rigid in it's look. Is there anyway it could be relaxed a bit?

Lose the blur on Monday. #2 for me.

I prefer #1 :)

I prefer version one, but why so London-centric on the background?

#2 for me. Love the icon background too!

#2 has a better balance, but the 'happy' in #1 is definitely happier.

The 2nd seems too stiff to be a 'happy Monday'.

I like the general character of 1, but something about the staggered alignment throws me. Not in love with the 'happy' font there either.
I'm going for 2; it's solid but still friendly, and I think it'll scale better too. Can't wait for the first episode!

I like that idea Sarah. It makes more sense than the London based items (unless there is something I'm missing).

More tea, cake and biscuits. Coffee is for the weak.

#2 is much more balanced in my opinion.

No 1 for the character but (maybe) centre aligned.
Also +1 for less London, more tea.
