Designing an iPhone game. This is a wooden background texture. Dots on wood?! It kind of looks weird and ok at the same time. Shall I keep them or shall I drop them?
I say I like the no dots version better. It already has the subtle noise. But I guess it depends on type of game, maybe dots would work and add uniqueness to the game.
But first reaction is no dots. I like them both like you said though.
how about a texture but no dots something more "sharp" which could emphesis the woody-texture of wood, but keeping it playful, say like triangles for example (rather than cracks..) ?
