    the hover effect may work better without mirroring the gradient. maybe just a text color change, or a lighter shade of the bg? menu works great tho

    this is the selected state. The hover state doesn't exist yet but definitely should be lighter weight. Thanks for the suggestion.

    I agree with Jake, I tried this effect many times, of just reverting the gradient and I was never happy with the result, a solid color will work better, you can go lighter but darker as well, depends on the whole site color palette
