   EDIT:
   Coded this into a usable widget :) Double click to install and it will replace the original iCal widget. If you want to make a backup, the original can be found in /Library/Widgets/iCal.wdgt

   I like the blurry inset but think it should be 1px less away from the "Saturday" text itself. Damn I'm bad at explaining!
