The structure and content are fine—even the use of icons in place of text—but this doesn't feel like a uber sleek travel destination site. The shiny gloss and extended shadow make it feel—and I hate to say it this way—Web 2.0-y. The icons do you a disservice there I think.
I'd love to see something more like the current iPhone app that has a dark gray background for high contrast with that bright logo. It'd maintain that super sleek look, and with some subtle texture, it'd make the awesome place illustrations I've seen from Kelli Anderson look sooo damned good :).
Look forward to seeing more revs on the Airbnb aesthetic!

The star and suitcase are mine. House & Mail icons are tweaked versions of IconJar.

I just added a gradient from bottom to top (black-white, overlay). makes the icons stand out more.
I kind of like it more this way.

Steph, this is nice. Not sure how I like the icons. Makes it look a bit busy.
