Slide for an upcoming series at my my church which focuses on the topic of marriage in the bible. If anyone is located in the capital region of NY and is interested in attending, let me know.
As far as the design goes, the goal was to visually show the man an women merging into one in order to illustrate the title, "Two Shall Become One".
I liked the design but the msg it passes is quite bad. The couple is looking in opposite directions and so serious, almost if they were obligated to get married.
@Taly: I actually made it like that intentionally. I felt like if I made the illustration too happy, it would come off assuming that all marriages are perfect and potentially feel un-relateable to some people. This particular series is meant to, in a way, help marriages get back on track and re-focused. I definitely understand your thoughts though and had a bit of a concern regarding that myself, but I think with everything in mind, it made the most sense to go in this direction. Thanks for your thoughts though!
@Shaun: Thanks man. At full resolution you actually see a lot more detail. When I reduced it's size for this shot I noticed the same thing. haha whoops!
@Konrad: Wow, thank you! If I ever make a print of it, I'lll be sure to let you know!
Nicholas: Awesome! The church is located at 425 River St. Troy NY. The actual service is in Revolution Hall at 10:00am and 12Noon on Sunday's. Hope to see you there!
Oh yeah, this particular series starts on Oct 9th.

Nice work Kevin, love the art direction for this. Only thing catching my eyes is the blurred nose on the guy...
