The faded out continuation of the separation line is nice.

I actually needed to add that as a bg image because the drop-shadow effect "spills" out between the main menu parent items and their sub-menu children (even WITH overflow-hidden). So, because I couldn't achieve a pure white background area, I just worked with it and accented it a little bit.
