On the west coast of Volga there is a large dry desert called “Steppe”. There is a fruit of a special species called “baromets” or “baranch” (originated from “baran” – sheep, Russian). Its shape resembles a sheep and has a head, legs and a tail. Its skin is covered with white silky fluff. It grows on a short stem and its head hangs over, so it looks like it eats the grass. When the grass withers, the Baranch dies. There is nothing more alluring for wolfs than this plant…
