Here's a preview of the final version. I made some changes on the header, specially the colors and the logo. I think now it has more this "celtic feel".
I think the colors are totally spot on with this one over the last version. Although I do have to admit, I like the type choices better in the old shot. And definitely could do without Zaphino... lol yuck.
Also, one last thing that I just noticed from the old shot that I think would be nice to carry over to the new one is the inset under the logo isn't connecting to the inset just below the navigation. Feels a little odd without that connection. Maybe that is just me...
Thank you all for the feedback!! I'm glad you like it!
@Anthony, thanks for the comment! Yes I hesitated about the inset under the logo. But personally I prefer like that. It makes like it is a kind of cloth cut with a flour shape.
Concerning the fonts, I think the other one I used made a little to much "western" than "celtic".
Is there any alternative to Zapfino? It's really awkward here and just doesn't really fit - 1, because it's Zapfino ( =( ), 2, because it just sort of looks like it's hovering above everything else and not placed with some sort of idea in mind, and 3, it's too fine against everything else.. and it's Zapfino.
I don't think I've ever thought of that sort of scripty font when I think Celtic - but I do like the other font choices in this shot compared to the last shot - those were way too western. These colors seem much more accurate, too! =)
This looks much better than the old one. I like the texture and soft shading. A couple of suggestions. The font size on the nav might be too small, and try to adjust the kerning on the letters ELT (Celtic).
Hey, again, much thanks for your feedback, always very precious for me!
@Elisa & Nacho, I understand your point, but let me know explain a little bit:
The products are focused for the women and this shop is owned by a woman. So my idea was to give some feminity to the design with Zapfino. I know it doesn't match with the celtic feel, but it was important to also pop up this feminity side. But maybe there's a better font for that. If you have some suggestions, don't hesitate to tell! :)
