Looks fantastic! But you should skip the text. It takes the brain much, much longer to process the icon in it's entirety when it also has to read and interpret that text instead of just making visual associations.

Really nice detail! I agree on removing the text...also...I am wondering if you might be able to add some shadowing or at least change the tone of the folded over part of the map...the corner gradient looks good...but the pieces folded down have same coloration/lighting as the map on top. Just a suggestion...brilliant icon regardless.

About the fold of the map, at first i was looking for a shadow to be cast down on the edge of the wood with the paper not folded at all, because the angle of the paper edge doesnt change at all down the side of the wood (as it should if really folded down)

Beautiful. But one criticism: maybe use slightly less shadow on the Map, it makes them look slightly thicker than they actually are - sort of floating on top of eachother, if you can see?
Im not sure how it might translate when it's downscaled, so it might not matter!

Love this... +1 for removing the text. Translating that text for other languages might get pretty long (or not be in the language of your audience) ;-)
