Daily UI - Landing Page (Fold)

At Hulu, we're in deep in discussions around landing pages. I've had this idea that I wanted to see done around using the app UI to sell the product, much like an App landing page might do.
At Hulu, marketing and acquisition use content to help convince broad audiences that we have options. However, this ditches that traditional approach and, instead, attempts to use the product as the tool to upsell.
Do you think it works? Or should I just show a big 'ol keyart poster image for Empire...
