What if standard laptop keyboard will be a little smarter?
Here is how it can be: when you press the button, which represent the beginning of the hotkey, the keyboard turns off backlight of the keys, which will not lead to hotkey combination.
It is really easy to produce, no need to reinvent keyboard. Just a little fine tune.
