Scale and Move

This is an idea that Tee Jia Hen and I discussed earlier while trying to think of a clearer way for users to perform tasks like adjusting or scaling objects inside VR environment. We're focusing on using the Vive for now.

The hands in the mocks are obviously metaphors to represent the controllers. Because in VR, we do not have mouse cursors to help us to 'select' certain 'layers'. Hence, now we were given more flexibility to explore using space and depth.

The main challenge is how might we create better interface designs that easily allow our users to perform graphical tasks in VR world? Because in the real world, we do not 'scale' things
