It was the late 1920s and the Urels were well known informative sources to those doing extensive research. However, as newspapers and libraries hired mobsters to whack these acclaimed prophets, the Urels were forced into hiding with constant relocation. Due to hiding and much secrecy the public came to fear these figures and were cautious of the shadows. In the 1990s, the Urels found an escape; one where they would become immortal and impact daily lives for decades to come: the Internet.

Danrich Dribbble was only a young boy in the original days of the Urels. He would sneak out at night to bring cookies and breadcrumbs to the seemingly dangerous people in return for information regarding the world around him. As an inside source to the Urels, Danrich knew of the secret escape into the Internet.

After much consideration, Danrich made the leap into cyberspace where he took on the persona of Captain Permalink! It was his sworn duty to prove the friendliness of these Urels and to give each one its own permanent home in the electronic world.

Cpt. Permalink has a super-bonding power allowing him to form a permanent relation between a string of characters and a location on the internet. He often crosses paths with the gang commonly known as The Flash Websites.

On a more serious note: the vector illustration of the superhero was found doing a simple Google Image search. My graphical / vector skills are ridiculously limited and therefore the true value of my contest submission is within the backstory.

    Lastly: Captain Permalink FTW.
