Heavily inspired by Faruk's 'Elsewhere' sidebar behavior, I'm building a fancy fly-out transition in a sidebar of meaningless data.

So many treats in this, it could have been ten dribbbles. Awesome.

Love this effect! Does anyone else feel like the drop shadow makes the blue feel fuzzy at the bottom?

Matthew: it does in Dan's shot, yes, but I don't feel that way about my tabs — probably because I'm using a darker shadow.

Maybe the icon should go white on hover to match the text?

    Thanks all!

@Wilson: I could lie and say that typo was intentional :) Thanks for catching.

@Matthew: I agree. Might toss it completely. Agree with Faruk that it works great on his because it's darker. It was there primarily as a talking point for box-shadow, but not necessary.

@Tyler: Good point there, sir. I'm going to be demonstrating using opactiy on a single icon to get more mileage out of it, but just changed the "items" text to dark to match the icon and it works better I think.

    Thanks for the feedback!

@Dan, I never see typos as well when I am designing :) The dog looks super there.
