Not too long ago, I used to detest gradients. You seem to prove the opposite :)

As usual looks great, just one tiny bit doesn't convince me, the height of those headers (September's Best and Almost there), they look a bit squashed for some reason. Love those buttons! :)

Yes, don't know about the news header fonts... Nevertheless great job.

The colour scheme is excellent, but I think the strokes in general seem a tad too contrasting & heavy.

It looks great, but something's a little off. The depth of "gadgets/cars" is below the actual headlines, and it feels like a departure from the usual way these things are stacked in z space.

I get the way it's done here, and feel like it could work really well for separating a long list of categories at a glance, so it may just be that this is cropped so short/ not interactive.

The only thing I would change is moving the profile icon over to the right a little and shortening the search field to accommodate the shift. Looks like the alignment is off... But still really nice regardless!

@Morgan Really like it. Your lines are really clean and the dark color you are using is one of my favorites.

The condensed header fonts are just looking awkward against the thickness of "gadgets" and "table of contents". Besides that, the "X" in the right corner also gets a tiny bit lost in such a dark color scheme.

    Very sleek, I like it.

It's for a news reading service. The headings font is a requirement.

Anthony, that button is totally off by one pixel.

Clicked the higher res version and then immediately forgot it was an image and tried to use it. D'oh!

    I suppose that's a good sign. :)

That inner shadow on the avatar is a tad too much :P

What is that sleek font you son of a gun!?

It's News Gothic, James. I can't take credit for the font choice, it was established already.

Actually I was more or less thinking it should line up with the table of contents bar... not the light one.

What are you looking at it on, Jordan?

I would say either decrease the logo to fit in the black bar, or increase it more to gain a larger overlap. The tiny overlap just looks indecisive.

The dreaded words, "Make the logo bigger."
    ...Yea, I said it.

Whoa, nice! I've noticed that rendering text as 'sharp' on darker backgrounds works better for mockups (*sometimes*)

I could see the type being a tad larger on the articles, while increasing the height of each module a bit.
