Switched to a light background to match the design of the website. Also changed the imagery on the sign to a troll that the company has been using for a long time and wanted to keep.
Some people like to ask why the sign is grungy and dented. Here's why: I like to think of the land of 404 as the land of lost and forgotten pages. Pages that have aged and died. Sort of like a wasteland of the internet if you will. In such a place, I imagine the signs would be equally worn down.
Why is the sign dented but not actually deformed? There's that big dent on the left (that's what I was referring to the first time) but it doesn't actually deform. The pattern on the front should be every other, so it shouldn't be a straight grid, but perhaps a diagonal one.
Troll?
Edit: Also, I see you've "fixed" the paint job on the black, though I have a few things... It's not affected by the dents (like on the bottom right) and also the scratches seem to scratch the paint, but not the sign. Shouldn't scratches be seen on the yellow as well?

The dent is deformed. Take another look.
**well shit, it was before. I made a point to deform it. Now it isn't. It's fixed now.
The troll was not my idea.
