Daily UI #001: Sign-Up Page

Starting my DailyUI challenge with a strawberry-themed login/signup screen, catered for a mobile form factor.

I picked a random palette to work with by hitting Adobe Color.

So many apps have a confusing or simply rubbish login/signup flow - I wanted to make a fresh, intuitive interface with a little personality.

Initially I wanted to leave out any mechanism to switch between login/signup: I imagined a solution that checked the server for the email address to magically tell if the entered email address already exists, and modify the form accordingly.

In the end, I left that out because I thought it might be confusing as a static screen, so came up with the little speech bubble coming from the StrawbApp logo.
