Quite a small change compared to the previous shot, but I think it makes the world of difference. Thanks to Jon, Nick and Tyssul for the suggestion :) What does everyone think of the colours now?

I'm thinking of keeping the copy text as black, using red only for emphasis such as with links or blockquotes.

Going to work more on fleshing it out a little and can then hopefully move on to some of the other pages :)

In answer to previous questions, the illustration is actually by the wonderful @DeeAndrews (that's her twitter username). She's a super, super talented fashion illustrator and I'm proud to be able to have her work on my site :)

Can we see a version with a white background, just to compare? :)

Rebound of previous shot to show white background instead of lighter-pink (for Nick).

Personal opinion: Doesn't look as strong as previous shot and looks unfinished...

Thanks Gareth. I agree with you about needing more contrast on the face - I'll work on that tonight! Thanks though, glad you like it! :)

Love the illustration! Have you thought about 3 blocks for the colours? So the nav/header can be red, the next area down pink/white and the next area starting "Latest Projects" with another colour/tone.

@Mark Thanks! I love the illustration too, really pleased with how talented @DeeAndrews is :) I have a similar thing to what you've described on my site now and find it quite restrictive on the homepage. It will be making an appearance elsewhere on the site though :)
