What about adding a backwards 6 instead of the letter b?

While first "S" looks good, the second one seems to be out of place a little bit. Maybe some sizing / customizing could help it.

I still love your other mockup!! This is awesome but the Sixbase logo with the 6 for the b is stellar

Very nice, like this Thomas. I agree with some of the comments above. Both cut-off letters seem to be slightly offset and slightly thicker than the rest of the letters as well.
Nevertheless, you got yourself a winner here mate.

In addition to my last comment...I am a big fan of logo design when using objects other than letters is pulled off in a beautiful, subtle way!

I love both, but I think I love the first one a bit more.... tho the second S on this one is cutted a bit too high if you ask my eye, but I guess that was your intention?

@Daniel No, it's a little mistake that happened by pasting it into photoshop (pixel rendering). You weren't the only one who spotted that ;)
@everyone_else I'll see if I can make any other adjustments, all your thoughts and ideas will be considered

I think I like this one better. Nicer execution and less obvious of a concept (not that the 6b was bad at all). Just needs that touch of tweaking.
