This is what the client ended up going with. Of course there are variations with containers and color changes... but this is the gist of it.

Oh man! What do I need to do to design like you? :P
You could audit my class ;)
(Joke. Nil teaches with me)
turned out nicely ryan. mixture of type is brilliant.
I hope the ale is as good as it looks now! :)
I always kind of liked the type variation of 'pappy' and 'slokum'. From a simplicity standpoint I could argue for the single face but I do like the combo.
I picketed for the single face option on the first go around. But I suppose Pappy's a peculiar guy, so on second thought, I think the type variation works well.
Yep, I'm liking the combo. Looks real noice.
Thanks, guys! I went back and forth and back again. I'm pretty happy with the final product.
Looking forward to seeing the packaging, looks great so far
all the fonts look great together. i love the mixture.
Awesome bunch of type combo.
Nice stuff man. I dig it.
@Brian I see that you're in Phoenix! I'll be there for the AIGA conference. Are you going?
This is really nice. Would look great on a coaster!
This is so beautiful Ryan! Is it actually letterpress or photoshop?
@Ryan Feerer Really love this and the "Slokum" face. Is it custom?
