Just trying to create a 'cute' Dribbble mini logo guide.

As clients could be using Dribbble to find potential designers to work with, an 'at a glance' logo guide for work you have previously dribbbled could be a nice way to wrap up the project?

Given the obvious size restraints, one will need to keep it brief and to the point.
The guide is a work in progress but the Webville logo is now complete, as you see it above :)

I prefer this color version better than the textured rebound.

Looking forward to seeing where this goes. BTW have you seen the inverse(ish) of this logo at www.maquinastudio.com? Your execution definitely makes more sense.

Jason : Nope, not seen that website before, quite similar ideas. I like what they have done with it, I like the colour scheme.

Hi there! My first time commenting on any of your stuff, and thus it is probably too late for you to consider changing anything, but my suggestion would have been that the space that gets formed between the logo picture and the first letter (w) feels a little too wide. Probably it is because of the fact that they are both aligned on the baseline.

What I'd try is getting rid of the w in the word and use the image directly, then the diagonal lines of the image and the 'e' would play out nicer, I think. Other possibility would be to align the word with the image on the vertical center or even at the top....

    Anyway... nice work! Cheers.

Miro : Appreciate the feedback, all valid points. It's just a mock-up right now, so very much open to comments...

Did look at removing the 'w' and just using the logomark, but it felt wrong to me. It can work on some logos, but as this mark is quite bold and strong, it overpowers the rest of the wording. :)

That sounds right to me, although maybe that happens already right now, which is not necessarily a bad thing I think. Of course, if it looks weird that's how it is ;)

Maybe the idea of vertical centering is worth trying out, and getting a little bit more of separation between the name and the mark, so that spacing effect is less visible.

Yeah this is nice. I also create 1 page guides for some of our clients :)
