Who thought a bunch of circles would end up being so infuriating? Mostly because designing for myself, on something so personal is the worst thing in the world!
In my off time I have been slowly reworking my personal ID, getting my website prepped etc and wanted to create a new personal logo.
I wanted something that was kind of retro, incorporated an 'M' letter if possible, maybe had a touch of a surf/water aesthetic (having almost always lived near the sea) and was a cloud shape. (based on my last name Mcleod which is an old-school spelling of 'Mcloud').
So this is 'My Cloud' or Mycleod (see what I did there?) which is two parts 70's style lettering (see the Candice font) and one part iCloud.

Aerosol is the first word that comes to my mind when I see this logo. May be its because it successfully accomplishes to look like a sea wave and cloud simultaneously.
Cool! Thanks. Long as it looks kind of fun and airy.
I was stupid enough to show a friend this down the pub (tip: never critique design work when drinking!)... he said it looked like a tonsil (middle part?). I got worried hehe.
XD Can see what made him to say its a tonsil. But it looks rather like an M than a tonsil.
Thats why I hate my friends... %$@!'s
Teehee looks fun, all that matters :D
I amazed all those circles came out to be that cloud lol. Never thought to design things like that. I always make my own shapes with pen rather than combine simple shapes. I think you just taught me something very important haha.
And it does look very playful. A unique take on the often overplayed cloud icon.
@Ryan, glad you got something out of it. Sometimes with these logo marks you can use an underlying grid as well which gives an extremely balanced, uniform-like result.
Mine, above, doesn't have that, with few circles being the same size (wanted a more random result) but here is a good example of a more detailed process by another Dribbble user: http://dribbble.com/shots/250152-Decoriza-logo-construction?list=popular&offset=61
I see Yoshi, I see Mario, I see a bike, I see water clouds adaknsdoas i like it :)
Nice & simple logo, j'adore!
Love when people show take a magnifying glass to their work. Looks great btw.
