It's not over for me because Microsoft's ClearType is adding colors into the text and it causes my eyes to bleed. That's why I have it turned off - so I am pretty used to this. But you should see it fine on your computer once it's finished :) cheers!
Yup, but it all goes down to personal preference and I prefer to read aliased body text instead of sub-pixel rendered. I will keep this in mind for future shots though, thanks Thomas!
btw I would love to see some global statistics of people using (or not) ClearType, Quartz etc, but it's impossible to detect...
Uhum. This is an important topic. The font-rendering most designers on Macs are used to is pretty good but most people experience much worse rendering. Especially since we use @font-face a lot these days we have to test a lot.
Some combinations of fonts and text-shadow for example are impossible to read in Firefox on Windows while they look great in Firefox on Mac OS. Just recently I had this problem. The only way to fix it was to ditch the shadow for Firefox.

One of my upcoming WordPress themes I am working on for ThemeForest.net. Hopefully WordPress 3.0 will be officially out before I finish it.

"colors"? You mean sub-pixel hinting? That makes fonts look way smoother.
