Well... I've been playing around with these. The thing is I have a huge name and somehow difficult to pronounce in english. So I've decided to pick an alternative one for my new portfolio site.
Pat = Patricia
Oak = Carvalho in english
or just POAK
Regarding style, I'm divided between using a webfont (#1,#2 left) or just a font that will be an image later on.
I would definitely go for the three top right ones. I can't really decide which version I like best, so I would use them as different versions in print, depending on how many colors you can use. In web, I'd use the pink one, because it gives it more personality. Being a bright color it expresses dynamism, and that pink gives it feminine delicacy. I'd also recommend you to choose the font of your logo depending on how well it fits your identity, and not restrict yourself to web fonts. I also like the small type next to it, it fits very well.

I'm liking the rounded type on the right (mostly the 3rd one down on the right side)

Definitely, the first one on the right. Besides, there's no need to explain what POAK means in your logo.

"poak" in a nice slab serif would be nice. Top-left is my favourite.
