love where you're going with this, but the shape of the head feels a little off. I think it has more to do with the thickness of the neck than anything else. I feel like his face is kinda floating. But I love the color palette you've chosen and the hand drawn feel to the surrounding circle. Nice work!
At first the shape looks perfect. Then you see the irregular shape a split second and you want to look a little closer. At least that's how it was for me. :) Excellent work I say!
I see what Kyle is talking about, I think it may be more about the kind of dog and what sense of scale you want to portray. To me the neck related to the head appears to be more like a boston terrier than a larger dog.
@Dan - Yeah, I'm not sure if Bobby was going for more of a large or small dog here. But there's definitely something off in the neckline. I think either lengthening the snout or shrinking the neck would be beneficial.
I based the dog on a chihuahua, because I felt like the proportions of a chihuahua would read as small, whether or not there was context for its size. (It's for a small dog safety foundation. Yes, that is a thing.)
But I changed a few things so it would just read as a dog, and not specifically a chihuahua.

Agreed, it almost looks like it matches his spot, which is neat-o.

The 'imperfect' shape is incredible. Colors are chosen very well.
Good job on this, I'm looking forward to the type.

Nice. The non-circle is what makes this.
