Ben Sidran has been a long time client and friend at Planet Propaganda dating back well into the 90s. 'There Was A Fire' is basically an autobiography chronicling the impact his religion and love of jazz had on his life and career.
Having had access to an advanced manuscript, I can tell you that if you're at all interested in jazz or music from the 60s and 70s (specifically Dylan and The Steve Miller Band), this is a must-read. Should be available at the end of September.
I love Ben. That treatment suits him perfectly. I've got vinyl I bought in the 70s when I used to see him play at local clubs. (Does he still do that?) Great work, as all your stuff is.
Oh yeah, Ben is still very much an active musician. He has been playing free live gigs at the Cardinal Bar right across from my office every Tuesday this August. And he returned from a European tour earlier in the summer.

Your handwritten type? Nice!

Yeah, my hand got pretty tired after the 100th version or so. Inhaling marker fumes the entire time helped a little.

Wow, love this. The book sounds great - if I may ask, how did you get involved with this project?
