Run and Jump

And an accompanying demo video (added after posting in the comments below).

Trying out a new controller overlay. I'm currently thinking that this will be visible for the first level or so, like training wheels, then there will be an option in the menu to turn it back on if desired.

The left and right buttons are "sticky" allowing you to quickly slide your finger up to the A button to jump or down to the B button to run without releasing.

While the A and B buttons on either side do the same thing, I find it easiest to run with the same thumb that's holding down the direction button (by sliding down) and jumping with the opposite A button. Even though buttons and hit areas are huge you really only need a sliver of either thumb on a button for it to register a press so you're not getting in your own way.
