@Arron Ya, you're right.. the pressed state is still a bit flawed. I didn't do it because I wanted to use just one element and don't add any extra markup. (It's a silly game, but can't help it). I'm just waiting till browsers add support for also animating those pseudo elements, then it should be possible.
