Arabic caligraphy design

Arabic caligraphy, aka, Islamic caligraphy or Islamic art has a great influence on modern architecture and design, specially it played a vital role in post-islamic Arabia or in Islamic early stage. The development of Islamic calligraphy is strongly tied to the Qur'an; chapters and excerpts from the Qur'an are a common and almost universal text upon which Islamic calligraphy is based. Thanks to the "Golden Age of Islam" during the Abbasid caliphate under Caliph Harun-Al-Rashid(763-809) who took the Islamic Caligraphy at another lavel. Among the various types of Arabic caligraphy, Kufic and Dewani are the most popular. Kufic caligraphy is one of the earliest form of Arabic caligraphy developed in Kufa, in present day Iraq ; where Diwani reached its height of popularity under Süleyman I the Magnificent (1520–1566) of Ottoman empire.
