I didn't really think this out, I just wanted to make a building to expand my skill set dealing with perspective, lighting, and shadow. I worked on this methodically for 8 days, a snail's pace compared to most artists, but this icon contains a lot of firsts for me--all in Photoshop no less.

It's not a very good replacement icon for Photoshop, and it really wasn't meant to be. If anything, it's going to be one part of a two-part illustration for my website.

As a side note, I'm still available for hire, so if you like my work, shoot me an email at mendkr@gmail.com to get a free quote!

Great first try, and the trees are slick! Some of the shadows could maybe be more consistent though.

I love all those little details, especially the cool floor inside. The only thing I miss, is the shadow of the canopy. Otherwise brilliant work!

Really good! Couple things I would tweak is to make the shadow from the Ps blue more gradually and tone down that light inner shadow on the parquet tiles. Congrats on leveling up your skills!

Great detail work here man, especially the trees, nice! The only things I'll say (constructively) is that the canopy might need a shadow like some others mentioned before, and that the overall perspective / proportions might be a tad off, as it were a bit too shallow along the z-axis.

    Good luck and great work!

Jaw. Dropped. I love how this turned out, Kris. I think the shadows look a little strange. The tree's is almost right under it, while the fire hydrant and PS aren't as much.
