The icon for Wrapp on iOS. It's based on the logo and we treat the rounded square shape as a peephole as opposed to deforming the logo to fit. As always, any feedback is welcome!
This is probably the best example Ive seen of doing that, looks great and is so recognisable on the screen, congrats to a unique and good logo and icon :)
I'm curious (not sure it's a good idea) if the "peephole effect" would be increased if you tried like a inner shadow or a smudge/blur off the edges of the image?
@Andrew I tinkered a little with such an effect, but it might be worth a revisit! Wouldn't want to overdo the peephole aspect though. I thought it might be worth pointing out a little extra since the deformation of everyday objects to fit the rounded square shape can get a little overdone at times.
Now I'm going to be that guy who just say how good this icon looks instead of giving critique and improvements. But in fact, this icon really is beautiful! En snygg jävel Max!
@Patrik Well, gotta have some of those too :D
Sometimes Dribbble turns into a like-fest, which is why I ask for, and appreciate, constructive criticism!
I wanted to show you the icon up close so you'll be able to see all the details. If you compare it with the on-device photo, the iPhone screen tints the icon more towards orange.
