A subset of a 12x12 and 16x16 icon set I created for Desiring God ministries. They are launching a brand spanking new web application featuring these little beauties.

What are the different sizes of each for?

Chandler, the 16x16 size is primary for icons that are indicators, perhaps to identify a video clip or a group of people. The 12x12 icons are for adding to buttons to give more meaning to an action.

Do u think that the document (paper) icon has to many lines?

@Ismael at first I did, yes, but as I'm noticing that some of the more solid blocks of color seem darker, it's better with more lines to "lighten" up the icon.

    Good as always Rogie,

One thing I would be worried about is how tech savvy are the user of said application? As the Youtube 12x12 is unreadable, and just thinking if you remove the 16x16 would they be able to associate it, with YOutube

    These look great Rogie.

The icon(s) to the left of the Star (favourite i presume?) isn't overly clear. Not too sure what that is. Can you explain? Looks like a chap with big ears.

Nice job on the YouTube icon. I remember you tweeting about how difficult that is to recreate at these sizes.

The "Users" icon (2nd from the right on bottom row) could use some refinement. The neck of the person is a bit tight which makes them look slightly alien and the 2 copies in the back look less like people and more like parts of the darker person in the front, if that makes sense. To gain more detail you could do 2 people rather than 3. Gives you more room to work with so you can add more detail.

Phil, some very nice insights here. I also did create a two person "group" because, well, as you know, where "two or more are gathered"...(sorry, bible joke :)

+1 on rethinking the User icon. It does seem a little alienesque. Great work, buddy! I gotta get into the iconifying.

Holy Crap! Loveliness! What's the usage on these Rogie? Will they be used on grey noisy background like this?

Also, is that a shovel in the sand next the vcard? I like sand.

Matthew, that indeed is a shovel. It is the Ministry Projects icon. To me, ministry is nothing if you can't pickup a shovel and work. :)

Loving these Rogie, awesome work! The 12x12 Youtube one is a little tough to read, but I can't think of any suggestions.
