Fireworks is quite unknown by the great public, that usually goes for photoshop, but if you start using it, you'll see you save time. It's quite intuitive and vector based which is great and the results are just as good for this kind of screen designs, icons, user interfaces... Many people simply dont know what this powerful Fireworks is all about. :)

@Javier López - Bueno como puedes ver FW para vectores es fantástico. De hecho en mi opiniòn es el mejor software que existe por diversos motivos a la hora de dibujar con vectores. Es intuitivo, rápido, flexible, muy completo. Todo lo que ves en mi galería son vectores de fireworks, así que solo te puedo decir q es altamente recomendable Javier. Un lujo re rapidez y efectividad.
