Maulide Group logo mark

Logo mark design for the Maulide Group, an international research group focused on organic chemistry based at the University of Vienna, Institute of Organic Chemistry.

This symbol explores concepts of chemistry and transformation. The open hexagon is a 3,3-sigmatropic rearrangement and it resembles the letter C, from Chemistry. The letter M, from Maulide, is formed by molecules. The concept of transformation is conveyed through the square that turns into a circle.

I developed this logo in close collaboration with senior scientists and the group leader, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Nuno Maulide.
